Here are some steps to help you let go of the negativity in your life:
OBSERVE YOUR THOUGHTS
The first step of taking back control of your life is to acknowledge how you are feeling. Become an observer of your mind and notice your thoughts like you are watching a movie. Once you are living in the moment, you connect to your inner self and from this space you can start to let go and realise that it is just your mind, your thoughts that are making you feel uncomfortable. You cannot always control your environment but once you are aware of your thoughts, you will realise that it will start to become easier to control your mind. Focus on your breath and how your body is reacting to the negative situation. DON’T WORRY ABOUT OTHER PEOPLE’S NEGATIVE OPINIONS OF YOU
Negative people tend to complain a lot and you need to realise that no matter how much you try and change these people, they will not change unless they make a conscious effort and commit to their growth and development. It is NOT your responsibility to “fix” anyone and don’t worry about their opinions and complaints as they will be negative most of the time. Stay positive and don’t allow their negative opinions of you to impact your career or your life. WASH AWAY NEGATIVE ENERGY
After a long day of being surrounded by negative people, you might feel overwhelmed and physically and mentally drained by their negative energy. immerse yourself in a warm bath and purify your body and aura. Escape for half an hour and make sure you are not disturbed by technology or another human! This is your time, turn your bathroom into a sanctuary and relax. Have a mindful bath, light a candle, play some relaxing music and add some of your favourite bath salts. When you are soaking in the bath, relax your mind and take back control of your life with positive affirmations:

- My life is filled with love and positivity
- I have a healthy mind and body
At the end of your bath, wrap yourself in your bathrobe and drink your favourite herbal tea. Take some deep breaths in and out; you will notice that you feel more relaxed after your challenging day.
LOVE YOURSELF AND PROTECT YOUR ENERGY
Once you are aware that negative people drain your energy, limit the amount of time you spend with them. You will notice this by how they make you feel, do you feel good around them or does their presence drain your energy. Don’t ignore your feelings as soon you realise that something is wrong. If you start experiencing loss of energy when they are near, it can be that you have an energy vampire in your environment. These people consume a lot of time with their dramatic behaviour, your best strategy is to protect yourself by limiting the time you give to others. Learning to say “No” and setting healthy boundaries is powerful. You can start conversations with something like, “I only have a few minutes before I have to run to….” Once a few minutes has passed, their time is up and politely leave the conversation. Always be empathic in a firm and kind way.
Remember that you are not here to “fix” other people, instead focus on improving and loving yourself. Your energy is precious, especially your ability to stay positive when everyone around you is negative. When you love yourself, you will know that you deserve better and you will never allow anyone to steal your energy.
